The Wave is CBRCC's quarterly bulletin entirely dedicated to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
WHERE DID THE WAVE GET ITS NAME?
In 1990, Lori Keeler, the CBRC newsletter editor at the time ran a contest to name the newsletter. Lynne Burton of Urdine Kennels came up with the winning name - The Chesapeake Wave. Lynne explained that this name referred both to the type of coats our dogs carry, and to the way the breed enjoys battling the waves on a retrieve.
